For over 25 years, Natalie Haworth-Liu has mentored some of the most talented and dedicated young flutists in Silicon Valley.
Natalie is a passionate teacher and knows how to bring out the best in each student.
Her teaching style balances high expectations with fun and personal connection. She is proud to have students study with her for many years and keeps in touch with them long after they graduate.
And although she thoroughly prepares students in the fundamentals and vast repertoire for the flute, it’s her “whole student” approach with mindset and confidence coaching that helps students develop into strong musicians ready to tackle anything with grace and strength.
Current and past students have won concerto competitions, held principal chairs in Bay Area youth orchestras, been selected for all-state and county honor bands (including "First Chair"), received command performance scores in competitions, and received scholarships for various prestigious summer music programs, and university programs, and continued as professional flutists and teachers.
Natalie is also the Music Director at Monticello Academy in Santa Clara, CA. Her highly esteemed music program has taught and mentored thousands of students over the past 13 years, with many going on to collegiate and professional careers in music.
